THERE WAS A TIME
There was actually a time when music was a focus more than sports.  There was a time when I paid more attention to the
likes of Bach and Beethoven than to basketball and baseball.  That was never more apparent than during my four summers
spent at Interlochen Center of the Arts in Michigan between 1980 - '83 (although during the summer of '83, I was listening
to Detroit Tigers baseball on my Walkman as we went to sleep).  The two primary instruments I played during my four
eight-week summers at Interlochen were piano (the picture shown above was actually taken during a 1978 visit I made to
the camp when my older brother was attending it) and violin (shown below in 1980).
