| Life is just one big sporting event |
Hanging in my bedroom are all the press
passes I have accumulated by working at
sporting events. The first one is from May
12th, 1988 -- a third-round playoff game
between the Boston Bruins and New Jersey
Devils.

"college" in quotes because when we were
roommates, Damon was in college, but I wasn't.

It all kind of started on June 13, 1987. I was supposed to do play-by-play at a little league baseball game for
WKRB-FM Kingsborough Community College radio, where I interned during my final semester attending Edward R.
Murrow High School. Well, after I showed up, I found out there was to be no broadcast, so I left the game before it
ever started. But that was at least the first time I ever treked out to a sporting event for business purposes.
Since then, I have been going to sporting events as a radio reporter, writer, engineer, stats person, game official -- and I
was also in the Temple University Marching band -- on more than just a regular basis.
The links below list the games I have gone to in a working capacity year-by-year. Those games I have attended with
a free ticket, or one I had to pay for, are not included. The sports section of this web site is intended to portray how
sports has played a part in my professional life, thus those games I did not gain admittance to with a media credential do
"not count."
