say the pet is like a part of the family. Baby, who was sniffing around the garbage cans, was found by my mother
outside of the front yard of our Park Slope brownstone and she couldn't have been more than a week old. She lived
with mom during the first 10 years of her life, then moved in with me for her last five. Baby and my mom are back
together again, both in the dirt in Queens and up in Heaven.
